With more than 25 years of experience, Andrew Williamson brings together a combination of business acumen, project management skills, and a background in award-winning film production. Serving as the driving force behind Greener Island, Andrew's background highlights the impactful combination of his personal commitment and professional expertise.
Andrew's career and volunteer work have been marked by an unwavering dedication to positive change. Recognizing the pivotal role people and businesses play in shaping our world, he saw an opportunity to integrate personal initiatives into his professional path, leading to the creation of Greener Island.
An award-winning filmmaker, Andrew recently produced Screen Siren’s feature doc REVIVAL69: The Concert That Rocked The World. Andrew also produced THE MAGNITUDE OF ALL THINGS (NFB, TELUS & TELEFILM) by Jennifer Abbott (The Corporation) which was called “Perhaps the most visceral call to action for humanity since An Inconvenient Truth” and Doc Weekly praised it as “One of the Top 10 documentaries coming out in 2021”.
Andrew produced the Canadian/German feature doc co-production THE WHALE AND THE RAVEN (NFB & ZDF/ARTE) which opened DOK.fest Munich 2019. Previously, Andrew executive produced the award-winning doc series EMERGENCY ROOM: LIFE & DEATH AT VGH for The Knowledge Network/ Discovery Fit and produced NORTHLORE for NFB/CBC.

Anna
Anna Marandi is a strategic climate and community resilience expert, facilitator, and convener, with nearly a decade of experience in the field. She embarked on this chapter after an earlier career in film and television production in New York City, where she cut her teeth working in live television and docu-style programming at HBO. Later, after working on several independent films, she began scouting and managing locations for major motion pictures and television on productions such as Orange is the New Black (Netflix), Madam Secretary (CBS), The Dark Knight Rises (Warner Bros), The Affair (Showtime), and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (20th Century Studios). In 2014, she pivoted to direct her attention to climate issues, and has since worked with practitioners at all scales of US government and internationally, supporting them on strategic planning processes, large convenings and smaller workshops, partnership development, grant development and administration, peer-learning and knowledge exchange, and direct technical assistance.
Anna is passionate about fostering connections between human communities and those of the natural world and is well recognized in the field for her engaging and honest communication style – as well as her ability to connect and collaborate with a wide range of people. She received an MS in Environmental Policy at The New School in New York City and a BA in Comparative Literature from Boston University. She is .llo.ooa first generation Iranian-Canadian and speaks fluent French, Spanish, and some Farsi. Anna has lived in France and Colombia and currently resides in Washington D.C., but grew up in Vancouver, B.C. – a place she considers to be her true home.
